Members of the Shreveport Hilton team, elected officials and downtown supporters help cut the ribbon on the newly-renovate Shreveport Hilton Hotel downtown.
The Hilton is filled with art by local artists. This large lobby commission is called “A Louisiana Expression in Blue” by Ron Smith.
One big change upon entering the lobby is the extended lobby bar area. The lobby can now seat over 100 patrons.
Nov. 20, 2019 UPDATE– The Hilton Shreveport (the world class business hotel we fondly know as the Hilton Downtown) is in the final days of a big new ‘do. Work on a massive re-do of the lobby, the bar, restaurant, meeting rooms, common spaces…even of wiring and lighting, is coming to an end. Plans are to officially re-christen the hotel on Wednesday, Dec. 4. If you haven’t been by lately, you’re in for a surprise at the change. Let’s take a little tour.

The new lighter tile brightens up the entire lobby area. The tile will be complemented with new furnishings, wall coverings, light tones, and local art!

What a change in the restaurant! Wood tone floors, all new seating, lights, buffet bar, entrance, finishes. It looks great.
We love the fact that cozy booths have been installed in the restaurant. Love the natural wicker light covers.
Yes, that IS white subway tile you noticed on the wall. All the orange tile is gone, replaced with modern subway tiles. The color scheme of white, charcoal gray and wood tones is modern, but warm and comfortable at the same time.
Each of the rooms is getting a refresh, too. This is an example of some of the new case goods – also known as furniture!
The hallways on each floor show off the new updated colors of grays, blues and creams.

the ‘pony wall’ in the Market 104 restaurant to expand seating to 100, opening up the flow of space from the bar area to the lobby, and the addition of a 12th floor Hilton ‘Executive’ lounge. The popular swimming pool overlooking downtown and the fitness room overlooking Cross Bayou will remain.

All the work is supposed to be completed by the first of December so expect a ribbon cutting and client event to happen then.
